Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995

Fisheries management

Replaced the Fisheries Act 1959. An Act designed to promote the sustainable management of Tasmania’s marine resources (including management plans relating to fish resources and protection of marine habitats). Administration of the Act is the responsibility of the Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries

Environmental Management and Pollution Control Act 1994

Control of threatening processes (pollution)

Replaced the Environment Protection Act 1973 and provides for the protection of the environment.

Marine Farming Planning Act 1995

Provides for the planning of marine waters for marine farming and the allocation of marine farming leases
